Community Links

As a small village school we consider ourselves to be very much part of the local community and are constantly seeking to improve our links with the village.

Our children enjoy participating in local events including the village fete. We visit the Welcome Club – a social club for some of Hollesley’s senior citizens, and sing to the residents at Glebe House at Christmas.

We have good links with Farlingaye High School in Woodbridge where most of our children transfer at the end of Year 6.Throughout their time at Hollesley children may visit Farlingaye to participate in sports, maths and debating. There is a carefully planned induction programme for the children in Year 6 including visits to Farlingaye and visits from Farlingaye staff and former pupils.

The school takes a lively interest in activities with other schools in the local area and participates in many inter-school sporting events such as football, netball, dodgeball and tag-rugby.
