Giant Robot Visits Hollesley Primary School
On Tuesday 20th March 2018, Hollesley Primary School welcomed Rob, the robot, into school. Each class spent some time with Rob and found out more about how he worked- from his electronics and hydraulics, to the materials he was made of and the properties of those materials.
The children loved the experience (particularly the flames Rob could throw and the bubbles he could blow)!
Science Share at University of Suffollk
On Monday 18th June 2018, 6 children from Hollesley Primary School went to the University of Suffolk for the Great Science Share. 15 schools were in attendance, each one demonstrating an enquiry that they had carried out. We were demonstrating the reaction between bicarbonate of soda and vinegar using a ziplock bag. The children did a fantastic job demonstrating and enjoyed looking around at the other experiments.
At the end of the day the children were treated to a half hour science show and were presented with a certificate and a science textbook for the school.
